A Strategy for Research in Space Biology and Medicine in the New Century - This report was prepared in 1998 by the National Research Council's Committee on Space Biology and Medicine (CSBM). This report provides a review of the disciplines of biology and medicine that can usefully be studied in the space environment, the fundamental research issues and questions within these disciplines, experimental challenges and opportunities, evaluation of the potential for space research to provide advances , and a prioritization of research topics.
