  • Video greetings by Arthur C. Clarke, Walter Cronkite, and Tom Hanks. On site- address by Dan Goldin, NASA Administrator

  • Presentation on the making of "2001: A Space Odyssey" by Fred Ordway, technical advisor to Stanley Kubrick. He will show still sequences made during 1965 and 1966 at the MGM British Studios. Follow by a special panel including Fred Ordway, Keir Dullea, Star of 2001, Professor Marvin Minsky of MIT (who named HAL), and author Andy Chaikin.

  • Brief report on the activities of the Sir Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Telecommunications and Information (CITI) by Joseph Pelton, Executive Director
