CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Media are invited to attend a ceremony to honor former test pilot and NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong at 1 p.m. EDT, Friday, Aug. 31, at the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

Kennedy Space Center Director Bob Cabana will lead the ceremony.

U.S. media who wish to attend must apply for credentials by 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30. All media accreditation requests must be submitted online at: https://media.ksc.nasa.gov

Media must meet at the Kennedy Press Site by noon Friday to be transported to the event.
