Media Invited to Next Cargo Resupply Mission Briefing from NASA Wallops

Media are invited to a briefing and facility tour of the next Orbital ATK commercial resupply services mission to the International Space Station from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. NASA, Orbital ATK and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport will hold an Antares and Cygnus update at 10 a.m. EDT, Monday, June 12 at Wallops. The status briefing will stream live online.
Participants include:

-       Frank Culbertson, Orbital ATK Space Systems Group president
-       Kurt Eberly, Orbital ATK Antares vice president

Following the briefing, reporters will receive a tour of MARS Pad 0A and NASA’s Horizontal Integration Facility, where the next Antares rocket stands ready for the upcoming launch in late summer.

Orbital ATK’s Antares program successfully completed its most recent mission carrying the company’s Cygnus spacecraft in October 2016. The team is ready to support the company’s eighth contracted cargo resupply services mission for NASA later this summer.
MARS has completed post-launch refurbishment of  Pad-0A following the October 2016 mission and stands ready to support NASA’s cargo resupply launches with the Antares rocket and Cygnus Spacecraft.
The International Space Station is a convergence of science, technology and human innovation that demonstrates new technologies and makes research breakthroughs not possible on Earth. The space station has continuously been occupied since November 2000. It remains the springboard to NASA's next great leap in exploration – sending humans farther into space than ever before, including to Mars.
