STA ISS Roundtable Discussion

As the ISS celebrates its 20th year of operation and 18th year of continuous human habitation, STA is hosting a panel with key ISS partners to talk about the past, present and future of this unprecedented laboratory in space. 

The discussion will look at the history of ISS and unique international partnerships, how the station continues to evolve and support human spaceflight, national research and technology needs, and how it is enabling a new space economy.

Participating in the roundtable discussion will be:


Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) will provide introductory remarks

Sam Scimemi, Director for International Space Station, NASA

Mark Mulqueen, Program Manager, International Space Station Sustaining and Utilization Contract, Boeing

Dr. Richard Leach, Chief Strategy Officer, ISS National Laboratory

TBD, National Institutes of Health / NCAT

Micheline Tabache, Head of ESA Washington Office, European Space Agency

Marc Jochemich, Head of DLR Washington Office, DLR
