European Solar Magnetometry Network (ESMN) - The European Solar Magnetometry Network is a collaboration of eight European solar physics research groups. It aims to measure and understand solar magnetism. It is funded by a grant from the TMR programme of the European Commission.

Joint Organization for Solar Observations (JOSO) - JOSO was formed In 1968/69 by solar physicists from 7 European countries which supports cooperation of European solar astronomers to stimulate and render more effective solar research in Europe. In October 1992 JOSO decided to facilitate the integration of East European observatories into the JOSO community.
