LunaCorp - LunaCorp and the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University are developing a rover that will confirm that ice exists at the lunar poles. The IceBreaker rover will land in 2003 near the Moon's South Pole, carrying ground-penetrating radar and a drill to investigate the ice layers that Lunar Prospector data indicate may be buried under a foot or more of lunar soil. Follow-on rovers will be sent on a Grand Apollo Tour of historic lunar sites. [US]
