SpaceRef - Exploration and Missions - Human Missions - International Space Station - General Research Hardware
Image Processing Unit (IPU) - IPU receives experiment image data from various experiment facilities, encodes those data, then transfers the encoded data to JEM system lines. This unit will be located in the Japanese Experiment Module.
International Subrack Interface Standard (ISIS) - ISIS is an effort to establish a set of standard specifications, drawings, tooling, and manufacturing processes that define drawer type payloads and rack accommodations for the International Space Station Program. [NASA Marshall Space Flight Center].
ISS EXPRESS Pallet (ExPS) Technical Information - ExPS is the International Space Station (ISS) truss attached payload facility which provides standard ISS accommodations for multiple external Express Pallet Adapter (ExPA) mounted payloads. It accommodates on-orbit installation, removal, and change-out of ExPA mounted payloads, using ISS standard logistics and extravehicular robotics (EVR) capability in addition to planned and/or contingency crew extravehicular activities (EVA). [NASA Marshall Space Flight Center].
ISS EXPRESS Rack Development - EXPRESS provides International Space Station payload accommodations which allow quick, simple integration by using standardized hardware interfaces and a streamlined integration approach. The EXPRESS Rack will provide accommodations payloads which meet the physical interfaces for Standard Interface Racks (SIR) drawers and mid deck lockers. [NASA Marshall Space Flight Center].
The European Drawer Rack (EDR) - EDR is an infrastructure to be used in the Columbus Laboratory aboard the International Space Station which is capable of supporting as many as 8 experiment dedicated payloads accommodated in Standard European Drawers (SED) or in Middeck Lockers (MDL).
The Minus Eighty Celsius Degrees Laboratory Freezer for the International Space Station (MELFI) - MELFI has four dewars to accommodate and keep samples at a temperature of minus eighty degrees, minus twenty six degrees or plus four degrees. This is a NASDA Space Station Facility that will be located in the Japanese Experiment Module.
