Destination Mir - The "Destination Mir" series on NBC will begin with a two-hour premiere introducing viewers to a diverse cast of ordinary American civilians who will assemble to train for the mission at Star City. In the live two-hour conclusion, slated to air between December 2001 and June 2002, the finalists will be assembled on the launch platform. The winner will then board a Soyuz spacecraft for a televised trip to Russia’s Mir space station.
