  • Center for NanoSpace Technologies (NST) - NST is located at The Institute for Advanced Interdisciplinary Research. It is dedicated to facilitating the development of space applications of integrated systems which exploit Nanoelectronics, NanoScience and Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS). These technologies are expected to achieve significant improvement over previously massive systems and assemblies. They will bring about smaller, more affordable, and higher capacity space systems

  • Nanostructure Science and Technology - A Worldwide Study - National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Committee on Technology, The Interagency Working Group on NanoScience, Engineering and Technology (IWGN) Prepared under the guidance of the IWGN, NSTC August 1999

  • Nanotechnology Database - Hosted by Loyola College and sponsored by the National Science Foundation, this site is designed to present up-to-date sources of information on nanotechnology from major research centers, funding agencies, major reports and books.

  • Nanotechnology News - This page at the National Nanotechnology Initiative contains a collection of links to recent news stories on all aspects of nanotechnology.

  • Nanotechnology Programs at the National Science Foundation - This site contains links to all of the various nanotechnology programs funded and supported by the NSF.

  • Nanotechnology Research Directions: IWGN Workshop Report - Vision for Nanotechnology Research and Development in the Next Decade - This September 1999 publication by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Committee on Technology (CT) and The Interagency Working Group on Nanoscience, Engineering and Technology (IWGN) "provides a vision for how the nanotechnology community -- Federal agencies, industries, universities, and professional societies -- can more effectively coordinate efforts to develop a wide range of revolutionary commercial applications. It includes begins to make recommendations on how to develop a balanced R&D nanotechnology infrastructure, advance critical research areas, and nurture the scientific and technical workforce of the next century."

  • Nanotechnology: Shaping the World Atom by Atom - This publication by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Committee on Technology, The Interagency Working Group on NanoScience, Engineering and Technology (IWGN) "sets the stage for increasing the public’s understanding of what nanotechnology is, how nanotechnology came to be, and its potential impact on society. It finds that the emerging fields of nanoscience and nanoengineering are leading to unprecedented understanding and control over the fundamental building blocks of all physical things. This is likely to change the way almost everything – from vaccines to computers to automobile tires to objects not yet imagined – is designed and made."

  • National Nanofabrication Users Network (NNUN) - National Nanofabrication Users Network (NNUN) provides users with access to some of the most sophisticated nanofabrication technologies in the world with facilities open to all users from academia, government, and industry. The combined staffs of the NNUN have extensive experience in all phases of nanofabrication and its use in fields ranging from nanophysics to biology to electronics.

  • National Nanotechnology Initiative – Leading to the Next Industrial Revolution - National Science and Technology Council. Publication by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Committee on Technology, The Interagency Working Group on NanoScience, Engineering and Technology (IWGN)

  • National Nanotechnology Initiative: The Initiative and its Implementation Plan - This report was released by the White House in July 2000 and lays of the plans for the National Nanotechnology Insitiative

  • The Center for Applied Microtechnology - CAM, located at the University of Washington, provides education for, and supports cutting edge microtechnology based research, promoting microtechnology, and the microtechnology industry in Washington state.

  • The National Nanotechnology Initiative - The National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) was established in 2000 by President Clinton to focus on the emerging fields of nanoscience and nanoengineering.
