Challenger Center for Space Science Education - The Challenger Center for Space Science Education was officially founded in 1986 and incorporated through the efforts of the families of the Challenger 51-L crew. The organization sponsors a wide variety of educational programs and has established a number of centers around the US and the world.

International Space University (ISU) - "At ISU, all students study all space-related disciplines, vastly broadening their vision and enabling them to understand the complex interactions between disciplines. By approaching the utilization of space from a global perspective, ISU gives its graduates a powerful, competitive edge in the profession. They become capable of understanding and easily crossing the traditional barriers arising between individuals from different nations, with different cultural backgrounds. They break new ground in international cooperation on space programs."

Space Explorers, Inc. - Space Explorers, Inc. is a privately funded, for profit business whose purpose is "bringing the challenges and excitement of active space exploration to students and the general public." Founded in 1995, SEI represents a creative working relationship between the federal government, private industry and academia in an effort to bring the challenges and discoveries of an active space mission to students. Space Explorers has a Space Act Agreement with NASA's Ames Research Center for the development and implementation of the Moonlink program and is under an agreement with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory to develop and operate the upcoming NEARlink program."

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) - "SEDS is an independent, student-based organization which promotes the exploration and development of space. SEDS pursues this mission by educating people about the benefits of space, by supporting a network of interested students, by providing an opportunity for members to develop their leadership skills, and inspiring people through our involvement in space-related projects. SEDS believes in a space-faring civilization and that focussing the enthusiasm of young people is the key to our future in space."
