Mission ISS-2A
Mission Description:
Mission ISS-2A/STS-88 was launched on 4 December 1998. The mission's primary task was the delivery of Node 1 (aka "Unity") to the FGB which was already in orbit. Node 1 was launched with 2 Pressurized Mating Adapters (PMAs) attached and 1 stowage rack installed inside.

EVA Activities
EVA 1
- Install slidewire.
- Connect PMA2-Node, PMA1-Node, and PMA1-FGB cables.
- Remove MDM thermal covers.
Flight 2A EVA 2
- Install handrails, PFR sockets and handrail gap spanners.
- Install early communication antennas (on node 1) and cables (2 on FGB).
- Install 1 Orlan coax comm connector on FGB.
- Release node CBM and hatch restraints.
- Install trunnion covers (3 of 4 installed) and MDM sunshade.
Flight 2A EVA 3
- Transfer tools, including 96 bolt tools to exterior of PMA1.
- Disc and stow PMA1 APAS cables at PMA2.
- Prep tethers and APFRs for 2A.1/3A.
- Install handrail on FGB aft end.
- Do photo survey.
