Minister of Industry to announce contracts to build Canadian Space Agency satellite

John Manley, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Canadian Space Agency, will announce the awarding of two major contracts to Bristol Aerospace Limited of Winnipeg, Manitoba, a Magellan company, to build SCISAT-1. This announcement will be made at a press conference to be held on March 8, 2000 in Winnipeg. SCISAT-1, the new Canadian Space Agency science satellite, will study ozone depletion in the Earth's atmosphere.
