image HOUSTON, September 14, 2011 -- Excalibur Almaz USA (EA USA), a commercial aerospace company working to provide cargo and human transportation services, will showcase its space flown Reusable Return Vehicle (RRV) to area students on September 23 beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The RRV is one of the elements in EA USA's family of space systems that will serve as the transport vehicle to and from the EA Salyut-type space stations on orbit. With the recent retirement of the U.S. Space Shuttle, the EA USA RRV is the only existing re-usable spacecraft which has flown multiple times.

The open house will provide students the opportunity to tour EA's facility in Clear Lake, speak with EA USA representatives, and learn more about the future of the commercial space industry. Media representatives interested in covering the student open house should contact rlazaro@excaliburalmaz.com or call 832-717-1171x125.

About Excalibur Almaz USA:

EA USA plans to accomplish this by leveraging proven flight tested products and systems from US, European, and Russian space programs to create value, reduce costs, and reduced development time.
