LOS ANGELES - Media credential registration for Endeavour's arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is available from now through September 12, 2012. Endeavour, which will be transported on top of NASA's Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA), is expected to arrive at LAX mid-day of September 20. The target date is flexible, pending weather conditions at Kennedy Space Center, along the flight path and in Los Angeles.
Media credentials will be required for each person covering Endeavour's arrival at the airport. All requests for credentials must be received by September 12, 2012.
All media credential requests must be submitted online at: http://www.eventcredentials.com/Endeavour/ Credential approval notices and detailed instructions for picking up media badges will be sent via email close to the arrival date.
After arriving at LAX, Endeavour will be removed from the SCA and moved Oct. 12-13 to the California Science Center for permanent public display. For more information about preparations for the shuttle's transport and display, visit: www.californiasciencecenter.org.
