TARC 2019: Rockets on the Hill Reception and Finals Flyoff

Press Release From: Aerospace Industries Association
Posted: Wednesday, May 8, 2019

On Friday, May 17, students from around the country will converge on Capitol Hill to visit with their respective Senators and Representatives before heading to Great Meadow in the Plains, Va. for the 2019 Team America Rocketry Challenge Final Fly-off. This year’s rules celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 by requiring each rocket to carry three eggs in a separate capsule to symbolize the three astronauts that made the journey to the Moon and back. The competition will crown a national champion, to represent the United States against international competitors from France, the United Kingdom, and Japan at the Paris International Air Show in June.
