Canadian Space Agency - Media Advisory - Canadian Space Exploration Workshop in Ottawa

SAINT-HUBERT QUEBEC, - The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is pleased to announce that it will host the 4th Canadian Space Exploration Workshop (CSEW4) on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16, 2002 in Ottawa.

This workshop will bring together over 200 Canadian and international Mars scientists and engineers to help the Canadian Space Agency form its scientific strategy for the exploration of Mars. The workshop participants will be asked to develop ideas for carrying out experiments on Mars in the future.

Friday, November 15 at 8:30 p.m., Dr. Marc Garneau, president of the Canadian Space Agency, will present his long-term vision for Mars exploration. The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 101 Lyon St. in Ottawa. Dr. Garneau will be available for media interviews between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Media are also invited to visit the two-day exhibition at 111 Sussex (old City Hall) and to interview the following participants:
