Subject: ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF TRAINING ON THE MECHANICS OF REDUCTION IN FORCE
The Office of Human Capital Management (formally OHR) will be offering several sessions of training starting February 1 through 24 which deal with the mechanics of Reduction in Force. These sessions will be open to all Langley Civil Servant Employees. The sessions will be instructional in nature only and will not be open forums for discussion.
This advance notice is the give the Union a "heads up", because in addition to the upcoming Fab announcement, there are other budget issues being worked in the agency that may cause some involuntary actions later this year. This open training is being offered at this time because positions within and outside the bargaining unit may be impacted in the near future.
Additionally, there are plans to have a special session for EEO officials, Union officials, attorneys, etc. regarding the subject of Reduction in Force. Stay tuned. I will keep you posted. If you need additional clarifying information, please contact me. Thank you.
