Sophie Caro, a Mars Institute geology student intern is prepped for the telemedicine session.

The required equipment, an ultrasound, videoconferencing and satellite link are setup for this emergency simulation.

Using an ultrasound with remote guidance the session begins.

At NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston Dr. Ashot Sargsyan and Shannon Melton, Wyle Labs, view the ultrasound and provide remote assistance.
