From abstract: "HDTB (head-down tilt bed rest) leads to an increase in MTWA (microvolt T wave alternans), providing the first evidence that simulated microgravity has a measurable effect on electrical repolarization processes. Possible contributing factors include loss in potassium and changes in sympathetic function."

A review of the latest information about neocytolysis, the selective hemolysis of young circulating red blood cells under certain conditions. The phenomenon of neocytolysis was discovered by Clarence Alfrey's group while investigating the mechanism of space flight anemia, in three papers: (1), (2), and (3).
