ESA TV starts to broadcast daily ISS Mission Commentary

On 6 July 2006, German ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter joined the permanent Expedition 13 Crew on the International Space Station. During up to six months, he will be living and working in space.

Every work-day, NASA-TV provides an ISS Mission Commentary programme with an overview of activities onboard, featuring all images downlinked by the Crew during the previous 24 hours.

As of 18 July, ESA-TV provides a live-rebroadcast of this NASA-TV programme, Monday through Friday, on a recurrent satellite channel.

An ISS Mission Commentary can run for up to 60 minutes but ESA-TV will be rebroadcast the first 20 to 30 minutes only, which is when the video images received from the ISS are transmitted.

Please note that regularly, no video is received from the ISS due to operational constraints. The ISS Mission Commentary is then made of mission audio over stills and mission control room images.

When particularly interesting images are expected, a mailing will be made 60-120 minutes before the start of the ISS Mission Commentary.

Please note that the line-up time for this SCPC feed is 5 minutes.
