The Mars Exploration Program Office (MEP) released a Request for Proposals for the Mars Critical Data Products Initiative IV (CDP IV) on May 18th.
This will support investigator teams for the analysis and interpretation of data required to reduce mission risk and improve science return (e.g., landing site characteristics, mineralogy maps, atmospheric state variables, etc.). This will focus on delivering specific, prearranged products vital to the safety and science yield of future missions including MSL as well as other future NASA Mars landers or orbiters. In contrast to past years, anyone currently listed in the MEPAG Names Database is legible to propose to this Critical Data Products Initiative.
The Request for Proposal as well as replies to questions are posted on the MEPAG Web Site. Point of Contact is Richard Flores, Subcontracts Manager, Mail Stop 201-203, JPL, Phone: (818) 393-5117, Fax: (818) 393-3027, Email: Richard.Flores@jpl.nasa.gov
