Description
NASA/JSC is issuing this special notice to inform interested parties that the International Space Station (ISS) Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) website has been established and may be accessed at: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/issresupply . The website is not yet fully populated with all data regarding this acquisition. From time to time, relevant data will be posted on this website. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor this NAIS and FedBizOpps site for further information regarding this procurement.
To gain access to the Technical library, interested parties must have a User ID and a Password and must agree to comply with JSC policy concerning the handling of the information and documentation residing in the Library. To obtain User ID and Password information, please contact the Contract Specialist, Lakshmi Sheela Logan, at 281-483-4214 or the Contracting Officer, Craig Burridge, at 281-483-2501.
JSC is still in the acquisition planning phase, which will result in the award of a contract for ISS Commercial Resupply Services. On August 7, 2007, an RFI was issued to collect information on key parameters that would help NASA refine and mature the acquisition plan for procuring safe, cost-effective, and reliable ISS logistics resupply services (RFI-HQ-CSTS). The due date for responding to that request was September 7, 2007. Capabilities statements were received at that time and are being retained for acquisition planning purposes. For purposes of determining small business involvement in this procurement, parties from the various small business categories that may be interested in subcontracting opportunities may submit their information to the Contracting Officer no later than 4:00 PM CDT on February 5, 2008.
Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and point of contact - address and phone number).
The NAICS code provided for the RFI was 336414. The NAICS code has since changed to 481212. Interested parties may provide additional information, as appropriate, in accordance with the applicable NAICS code.
No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The synopsis announcing information regarding the release of the Draft RFP and RFP will be forthcoming and will be posted on NAIS and FedBizOpps.
