2015 17 Nov 12:32 pm ET: "We are now on the IL-76 and are on our way to Antarctica!"
17 Nov 2015 03:34 am ET: Heading South: The skies have brightened at Novolazarevskaya Station and the ice-runway is being cleared of the snow that has accumulated the last few days. We are now scheduled to depart Cape Town and fly to Antarctica at 8 pm local time (Cape Town).
If all goes well, once at Novo Station, we will assemble our gear and pack for the 125 km traverse to Lake Untersee in the mountains of Queen Maud Land and be at the lake within 3 days of landing. Its time to get to work above and below the ice!
