NASA’s Human Research Program (HRP) released the NRA 80JSC018N0001-SANS “Countermeasures for Mitigation of Spaceflight Associated Neuro-ocular Syndrome” that solicits applied research in support of HRP goals and objectives on November 30, 2018. The original Step-1 due date of January 4, 2019 has been amended to January 17, 2019. All other terms and conditions of the appendix remain unchanged.

As stated above, Appendix C Step-1 proposals are now due January 17, 2019. Invited Appendix C Step-2 proposals will still be due April 4, 2019. The invitation notification date will remain as February 4, 2019.
All categories of United States (U.S.) institutions are eligible to submit proposals in response to the NRA. Principal Investigators may collaborate with universities, Federal Government laboratories, the private sector, and state and local government laboratories. In all such arrangements, the applying entity is expected to be responsible for administering the project according to the management approach presented in the proposal. NASA’s policy is to conduct research with non-U.S. organizations on a cooperative, no exchange-of-funds basis.
