A lunar calibration roll maneuver for MODIS was successfully conducted on the evening of February 20, 2003. Subsequent to this, the Deep Space Calibration Maneuver Paper Simulation was conducted via telecon with the ASTER instrument team. This is the second time the Paper Simulation meeting was held, as a separate evening telecon was scheduled with the ASTER team to accommodate the time difference between GSFC and Japan.
A new waiver for MODIS X-band Direct Broadcast on/off cycling over Canberra is being negotiated with JPL Deep Space Network (DSN) managers to enable continued acquisition of fire hotspot data to support the Sentinel hotspot data system deployed under the auspices of CSIRO in Australia.
