STS-120 Flight Day 12 Report

Flight Day 12 brought the 4th and final EVA of this docked mission. EVA4 lasted 7 hours and 19 minutes and performed the successful repair of the 4B solar array wing on the P6 truss. With these repairs the 4B array was fully deployed and is now in working order. The port solar arrays are tracking the sun while the starboard arrays remain locked due to problems seen with the SARJ earlier in the flight.
Checkout of the OBSS sensors, after being unheated for the duration of EVA4, began on Flight Day 12. At this time, the LDRI and the ITVC sensors appear to be operating and will most likely be used for late inspection. Checkouts of the remaining sensors will follow today.
Undock is currently scheduled for Monday morning at 0430 Central time with hatch closure tonight.
There has been one new MER Anomaly and 3 new S&MA Anomalies since FD11:
MER-13: WLES Sensor Trigger w/ no recorded data
The magnitude of this indication was 1.01 g, implicating starboard panels 1 and 2. WIS-GFE confirmed that these units are no longer monitoring, and no new acquisitions have been recorded.
S&MA-12: Y Star Tracker - Unidentified Light Source
While using the star tracker to identify stars, an unidentified light source appeared. Initial thought is that a reflection from ISS is the source. The -Y star tracker is seeing limited stars of opportunity. The Pointing console reports that the P6 solar array is partially blocking the field of view of the star tracker. This could account for possible reflected light being seen by the star tracker. A self-test was performed yesterday that confirms that the star tracker is operating nominally.
S&MA - 13: Payload Bay Camera C Yellow Hue
Video downlinked from TVC "C" had a yellow overall hue when viewed on multiple monitors in the MCC. Later TVC "C" downlinked images were normal (no yellow hue).
S&MA-14: Payload Bay Flood Light #3 Failed
At a GMT of 307/08:15, all 6 payload bay floodlights were turned on. When the crew turned the lights OFF at 307/21:52:21, the MN B MPC2 amps did not drop the full amount. We were expecting approximately a 5.5 amp drop, and received a 2 amp drop. A shot of the payload bay was also seen in downlink video, and this light appeared to not be illuminating.
